2026–2027 Academic Calendar
The NorthStar school year begins Monday, August 31, 2026, and concludes Friday, May 28, 2027. Use the calendar below to review opening events, breaks, progress reviews, showcases, and assessment periods.

How calendar days work
School events may include progress reviews, project showcases, conferences, challenge days, or special academic programming.
Independent learning days do not include the normal teacher-led block schedule. Students may use optional reading, project, enrichment, or recovery activities.
No-class days pause scheduled instruction. The student portal may remain available for voluntary review and unfinished work.
Quarter 1 closes October 30
Students select work and reflect on their first-quarter progress.
Semester 1 closes December 18
Portfolio review and a learning celebration conclude the fall term.
School year closes May 28
Final assessments, student reflection, and end-of-year celebration.
